Science of Mind
magazine publishes several types of articles that teach, inspire,
motivate, and inform. Editorial content addresses the concerns,
interests, and problems of readers, offering thoughtful perspectives
on how they can experience greater self-acceptance, empowerment,
and meaningful living. Achieving wholeness through applying Science
of Mind principles is the primary focus.
The basic requirements of
good, clear writing apply to all material used in the magazine.
In addition, these special guidelines should also be noted:
First-Person Articles -
The articles concern individuals
who have experienced a significant, often dramatic, event in their
lives. The theme of the articles should inspire readers to make
a similar change in their own lives. The article may also recount
a deep spiritual experience or the way in which Science of Mind
principles have been applied to create a positive inner change.
Length: 1000-2000 words.
Interview / Profiles
- Each month an interview with
or profile about a notable spiritual leader is featured. These
articles are usually assigned, but queries are welcome. Refer
to previous issues of Science of Mind for typical subjects
and style to be followed. Bio, lead-in and photo required. Length:
3500 words.
Daily Guides
-Inspirational meditative
readings for each day of the month are based on Science of Mind
teachings and include a quotation from the Bible, one of the sacred
scriptures of the world, or other spiritual source. Each day must
include a quote from The Science of Mind text by Ernest
Holmes. A sample set of six Daily Guides may be submitted. These
are written by Science Of Mind ministers or practitioners. Refer
to previous issues of Science of Mind magazine for length,
style, and sample content.
Poetry - Science
of Mind magazine is not accepting
poetry submissions at this time.

Reminders:
- Make a concerted effort to use language
that is inclusive and gender neutral
- Carefully check punctuation, spelling,
and sentence structure before submitting your article.
- Do not try to imitate the typeset copy
using different styles of type. Simply type everything normally,
using lower-case letters and capitalizing in accordance with
standard practice.

Mechanical Information: If film or camera-ready art instead
of digital is supplied, a stripping charge will be applied.
Stripping will be done at cost plus 10%.
Commission
and Cash Discounts
Space
Reservation: Note: 3 month lead-time with schedule payment
must be received by advertising deadline.
Agency commission of 15% of gross billing allowed to recognized
advertising agencies of space units. Commission is not allowed
on color and position.
Payment: Net 30 days from date. All new accounts must
prepay first insertion. No discount for cash.
Copy
and Contract Regulations
All
advertising is subject to the publisher's approval. The publisher
reserves the right to reject any advertising which is not compatible
with Science of Mind philosophy. Advertiser and advertising
agency
assumes all liability for all content (including text, representations,
and illustrations) of advertisements printed, and assumes responsibility
for any claim(s) arising there from against the publisher.
Advertising which simulates editorial content will not be accepted.
Cancellations will be accepted up to 30 days in advance of advertising
deadline.
