Four Leafed Clover

Are You Lucky?

In the June 2019 issue of Guide for Spiritual Living: Science of Mind magazine columnist Mitch Horowitz offers seven immutable laws of luck. He asserts that the following will bring better luck into anyone’s life.

1. Treat strangers kindly. Kindness is lucky.

2. Persistence brings luck. “If you persist in something,” he writes, “your fallow periods will reverse. And reverse again — so be careful."

3. Optimists are unlucky. What? Horowitz says that wariness is lucky.

4. Take intelligent risks. Success favors action.

5. Be decisive.

6. Be a teetotaler. “Sobriety is security,” he says.

7. Value chemistry. Horowitz suggests you scan your life for “charmed” relations — and preserve them.

Unlock the Shackles

Broken shackles

—by Trish Hall

Unlocking the shackles that bind us to fear truly is a simple process, a basic journey of spiritual awakening:

  • Our first step is to re-identify with what our being already knows: We are each an activity of God and we get to choose how that activity shows up.
  • Our next step is to relabel fear. It is not our enemy unless we grant it the power to do harm.
  • Our next step is to be present as love. When we remember that we are Spirit’s means of expressing love in the world, the transformative power of love is unleashed.
  • Our culminating step is to apply gratitude — gratitude for the freedom, for the process, for the opportunity to be a transformative force in the universe.

Read Hall’s complete article on unlocking the shackles of fear in the June 2019 issue of Guide for Spiritual Living: Science of Mind magazine.

Celebrate the Solstice

“This is the solstice, the still point of the sun, its cusp and midnight,
the year's threshold and unlocking,
where the past lets go of and becomes the future;
the place of caught breath."
Margaret Atwood

The One Perfect Activity of God

Treasure chest

—by Ernest Holmes

The all-intelligent, creative Presence is the source of all that I am. I believe in the ability and the willingness of this great Source to sustain its own creation. …

There can be neither limitation nor lack, for nothing ever restricts the One Perfect Activity. It is in full operation for me. I am now free from my sense of bondage.

All Power is given unto me from On High. Knowing this, I am strong with the strength of the all-vitalizing power of the universe. I am sustained and healed by a divine stream of Spirit-Energy, which flows through me as radiant health and vitality. …

All that God has is mine. I draw from the spiritual treasure-house all that I need.
