Embrace Your Superpowers

What some may consider soft skills — connectivity, empathy, compassion, intuition, value of “other,” value of “we” — Chantal Pierrat calls feminine superpowers. In what she refers to as the Age of Connectivity, Pierrat posits that these superpowers are what create the interdependence needed for survival and success.

 “I was personally transformed by reclaiming my feminine internally,” Pierrat says in an article in the September issue of Guide for Spiritual Living: Science of Mind magazine. “We compromise our feminine in the name of leadership success. But everybody benefits when the feminine is exalted in the world of business.”

She argues that feminine leadership is connected leadership. “We can’t compete in economics, politics or business if we don’t fine-tune our connectivity,” she says. “Marketing today is all based on connection.

“The world needs connection in order to survive. And we can lead with it.”

Pierrat founded Emerging Women in 2013 to help create those kinds of connections. Emerging Women is a global network and media platform for women creating change in the world. “Emerging Women is about leadership identity and the internal landscape that we need to create to express ourselves fully,” Pierrat explains. “This is not about skills but is an exercise in spirituality. We bring that spiritual essence to the forefront of what we do. We recognize that we must include spirituality as the only way to be truly authentic.”

“I want to see the wings of the feminine spread wide,” Pierrat says. “I want to listen, to see what that full expression looks like. This is why women must step forward in leadership, to create a world that we want to see.”

Shifting from Human to Divine

Over the course of six months, Guide for Spiritual Living: Science of Mind magazine explored a series of spiritual initiations, brilliantly articulated by Petra Weldes. In the September issue, Weldes offers the final installment of the series, exploring the shift in identity from human to Divine.

This shift “fundamentally changes everything,” Weldes says. “First, this means we can no longer use the excuse of being ‘only human,’ but we also no longer need to struggle with our ego. …

“We also realize that when we do our spiritual work, we are, in fact, speaking the word of God and sitting as the Divine in pure self-reflection and self-knowingness.

“As we realize the truth of who we really are and shift our identity to the Universal as us, we are confronted with the fact that every person, animal, plant, cell, molecule and atom is also a place where the Universal Divine Reality is expressing and experiencing Itself, more or less consciously.”

Weldes says that the shift from human to Divine results in hearts bursting with Divine love for all humanity. “As individualized expressions of the One,” she says, “we are now the place where love, Divine Love, can be consciously expressed, or not; where peace, Divine Peace, can be consciously brought to bear, or not; where power, Divine Power, can be consciously used for the good of all, or not.”

Harvest Your Mental Garden

In our meditation today let us take this thought from the words of Jesus: “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white, already to harvest.” And as we look out upon our world, in our imagination let us see the fields of our experience ripe unto the harvest.

Let us see if we cannot feel the presence of love, of harmony and of successful living, of joy and friendship. It is through quiet Meditation and spiritual affirmation that we actually enter into conscious communion with the Divine Presence which is always around and within us. And so our fields are white, already to harvest. Let us enter into the privilege of communion with each other and with God in the joyful acceptance of the harvest of good, which that Power greater than we are has created for us.

“The fields are white, already to harvest.” As we think about the meaning of these simple but significant words, let each say quietly to himself, and with complete acceptance: I gratefully acknowledge the divine bounty of Life. I am thankful for the harvest of good which love has prepared for me. And as I gather the fruits of joy and happiness, which nature presses back into my hand, I gladly divide them with others.

I expect the garden of my experience to increase in quiet confidence and peace. I keep myself in constant expectation of good, and forever I pray that I may daily have the privilege and the opportunity of extending this good to others. I sincerely desire to be a blessing to everyone I meet. To every situation I contact I wish to bring joy, hope and happiness. So I dedicate the garden of my soul to the hope that is within me and to the great longing that is in all people.
