The Art of Self-Love

Rita Loyd

Rita Loyd uses art to help individuals discover self-love. Do you have a challenge in your life that could benefit from some love? Loyd offers simple, step-by-step instructions to help you nurture self-love.

An Exercise in Unconditional Self Love - By Rita Loyd

This exercise is meant for you to choose one challenge in your life and then focus on that one challenge as you answer the questions. That challenge may be a health issue, the health issue of a loved one, a relationship issue, a work issue, the loss of a loved one, a divorce, financial difficulties, or the lack of direction in your life. It could be anything that challenges you and causes you to suffer in some way.

Print this exercise and take your time. It is not meant to finish over night because people realize different things at different times. You can do this exercise with each challenge in your life that you face.

If you like, you can put this exercise into a special notebook and then that notebook can be your “Nurturing Self-Love Notebook.” You also can keep favorite quotes and photos inside your notebook by using pocket protector sleeves or by making a pocket from cardstock material and taping it to the back inside cover of your notebook.

Download the exercise in unconditional self-love here.

Thinking Purposefully
Jennifer Picinic

Many times we can get so lost in trying to justify our own emotions that we lose sight of the direct impact that this has on our overall wellbeing. Our emotions can get the best of us and can lead us to engage in behaviors we wouldn't normally do if we are not careful enough to learn more about ourselves. The Magic of the Mind
—Ernest Holmes & Willis Kinnear

Ernest HolmesIf we in any way feel that spiritual mind treatment [prayer] does not apply to our ambitions, activities, services we desire to render others or achievements of worthwhile goals, then we have forgotten the fact that we are living in a universe of law and order and that there is no avenue or experience exempt from the impact of our thinking. Everything is subject to the law of cause and effect, even though we might not clearly understand how it works in certain situations.
