UNICEF: One idea can change the world

The story of Trick or Treat for UNICEF is powerful on many levels. It is a way for us to think about others in need during the holiday, and a shining example of how one person can have a huge impact on the world. The story of Rev. Clyde Allison’s wife saying “It’s too bad we can’t turn this into something good,” launched a program that has helped people all over the world. This is the power of imagination at work.

We must become as little children. How we long for a return of that simple trust in life which children have; in their minds there are no doubt. … The life of the child is lived in natural goodness. God is natural goodness. … We must return the way we came. As little children, who know that life is good and to be trusted, we are to approach our problems as though they were not. Approaching them in this manner, they will vanish. ~ The Science of Mind by Dr. Ernest Holmes, page 456.
